Line editing is priced on an individual basis
The cost depends on the necessary work, and ranges from $3,500 to $9,500. Line editing happens when the editor takes a hands-on approach and rewrites for you, making language and stylistic corrections on a line-by-line basis. It is more expensive than analytic editing because the work is more time consuming. Here you trust the editor to provide you with a finished product. If you have little time left in your schedule to devote to a book, or feel you have reached a plateau in your own ability, this is the solution.
